Pulling Up

Standard

As we brace for the end of the summer and my return to full time work/school we’re trying to enjoy the little bit of time left.  Evie, on the other hand, is using every spare minute to perfect the art of pulling herself up.  Seriously, she will pull herself up on just about anything:

It’s not uncommon now for us to find her on her feet when she wakes up in the morning or from a nap:

While her motor skills are going well, her eating remains a struggle.  She’s holding her own bottle and plows through baby food with a vengeance, but still resists anything else.  It’s strange that a baby whose first move with anything new is to jam it into her mouth until it’s soaked through with drool simply refuses to put actual food into her mouth.  She doesn’t even want the stuff anywhere near her:

We’ll keep working on it.

That’s about all that’s new.  She remains a social, smiley baby – so much so that several people at the grocery store now recognize her and get excited to see her come by and people at the bakery (where I go once a week) actually come out from behind the counter to say hi to her.  I don’t blame them.  She’s adorable:
