12 Days of Evie! (2 of 12 – Thanksgiving!)

Standard

Evie attended her first Guthrie Thanksgiving, which also means she made her first trip to Oklahoma.  She proved quite the trooper during the driving – other than a little fussing on the drive home she was quiet and well-behaved.

Once we got there, she immediately started endearing herself to Norie’s Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Darryl.  She got to see cows for the first time, and had a blast playing with a cabinet full of pie pans:

The next day was Thanksgiving and Evie ate a little bit of almost all of the Thanksgiving food:

She also had a ball, meeting second cousins and great aunts and uncles galore:

And if that wasn’t enough, on the way home Evie got to meet Cory and Amanda, then we stopped at a Braum’s where she got to have her very first ice cream cone:

12 Days of Evie! (1 of 12 – She Walks!)

Standard

I have obviously been remiss in my updating of the blog – the semester has been incredibly busy.  That is almost all over now, though, so I’ll have a bit of time to get caught up.  Rather than do one mega-post with everything that’s been going on in the past month-and-a-half, I decided to catch up by doing the 12 Days of Evie.

On the first day of Evie, she’s started walking:

Crawling remains her preferred mode of locomotion, but when she decides to do it she can walk quite a distance on her own now.  I suspect that, as with crawling, one day she’ll just decide that walking is the way to go and won’t look back.  That could be any day now.
