Nicknames

Standard

Norie and I were going through our various nicknames for Evie tonight, so I thought I’d share them.  First is the etymology of her most common nickname – “P”:

Evelyn Piper -> Evie P. -> Miss P. -> The P -> P

Then there are the situational nicknames:

Squirms McGee

Spit-Ups McGoo

Farts Waller

EvieBob CrankyPants

There are probably others that I can’t think of at the moment.  Fortunately there are enough other people who call her Evie that she should learn her name just fine.

In other news, she officially turned four months old, as this picture makes abundantly clear:

I think she looks a lot like Norie in this one.

She also had another doctor visit.  She’s up to 25 1/2 inches and 13 lbs 7 ounces, which means she’s passed Chekhov.  The two of them engaged in a passing of the torch ceremony yesterday:

“She’s bigger, but I’m still the hairiest critter in the apartment.”

The doctor said everything’s going well and that Evie’s progressing great.  On that note we might be adding solid foods into her diet soon.  She’s still not a fan of Tummy Time, which is problem now that she’s mastered the art of rolling over – in the wrong direction:

She makes up for it by being adorable:
